H.C.R., Japan's first international exhibition of welfare equipment, has evolved into Asia's largest exhibition of welfare equipment, second only to Europe and the United States in the world.
Since its inception in November 1974, jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (now the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) and Japan National Council of Social Welfare, as the "Modernization Equipment Exhibition for Social Welfare Facilities," this event has been held annually for over 50 years. To support the independence and participation of the elderly and disabled, we continuously disseminate useful information on the latest practices in health, welfare, care and rehabilitation.

Press Coverage Guidelines

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in hosting this exhibition.
Regarding coverage of H.C.R. at In-Person exhibition, we have established the following considerations and prohibitions based on past experiences, and opinions of exhibitors and related associations and institutions:
We kindly ask members of the press to understand and comply with the following guidelines.

Please be mindful of visitors' privacy.
During interviews or shootings, please cooperate to avoid obstructing visitors.
Especially, please assist elderly and disabled individuals to view the exhibition at their own pace.
Please obtain consent before conducting interviews with visitors and exhibitors. Please do not coerce them.
The 'Information Center for Press' will be set up, so please feel free to use it.
Details about the location and available hours will be provided at a later time.
As a general rule, photography and video recording are prohibited in the exhibition halls.
However, television, newspaper and publishing media organisations are permitted to film in the exhibition halls subject to the following conditions.
Even in such cases, please keep conditions 1 to 3 in mind.
Points to consider
- ① If you are a member of the press as described above and wish to conduct coverage/photography, please register at the Information (Press Reception).
- ② When photographing exhibited products, be sure to obtain consent from the exhibitor.
- ③ Please provide us with printed materials and other products after coverage. For television broadcasts and other purposes, please contact us in advance with the broadcast date and time.
- ④ When taking photos, please wear the "Press Badge" provided at the "Press Reception" and make sure to display your company arm band visibly. (If you do not have an arm band, please consult with us at the "Press Reception.")
For the availability of photos of exhibited products, please check with the exhibitor. Television, national newspapers, local newspapers, economic/health and welfare industry newspapers/magazines, and company newsletters related to welfare equipment are allowed to use photos of the exhibition scenes prepared by the association under certain conditions.

We appreciate your cooperation, although the above may cause some inconvenience.
